ARC Portal's BiosafetyNet supports USF NetID
Single Sign-on in addition to ARC Portal login. Need more information
about this feature? Please see the Questions and Answers
below:
Why are there two ways to login to ARC
Portal's BiosafetyNet?
Historically, ARC Portal
has required a separate username and password for system
access. With USF NetID Single Sign-on, most USF
employed/student users will be able to access their submissions with the
same login they already use for other USF systems. Since not all ARC
Portal users have an active USF NetID, existing ARC Portal logins
will continue to work as before.
I have an
active NetID, can I use it to login to BiosafetyNet?
Yes, as
long as your ARC Portal account is active and your ARC Portal username
matches with your USF NetID. If you have questions about updating your ARC
Portal username to match your USF NetID, please contact the ARC Help Desk
at
rsch-arc@usf.edu or (813)
974-2880.
Do new users still have to register
through ARC Portal to receive an account?
Yes, the account
registration process has not changed. All new users must register for
access through ARC's 'Register Here' link on the home page. This includes users
who need access to BullsIRB and/or BiosafetyNet.
Why doesn't my
USF NetID password work on the ARC Portal Login
screen?
USF NetID login can only occur on the USF NetID login page
to which you are redirected upon when selecting the 'USF NetID' login
option. After successful USF NetID login, you will be redirected and
automatically logged into BiosafetyNet.
What happens when I use
the "Forgot Username" and "Forgot Password" links on ARC's
BiosafetyNet?
BiosafetyNet's "Forgot Username" and "Forgot Password"
links only manage your ARC Portal login credentials and must be done
on ARC's site (not BullsIRB or BiosafetyNet). Upon using these services, you
will receive an ARC system email that contains your ARC Portal
username or a link to reset your ARC Portal password. An ARC
Portal password reset will have no effect on your ability to select the USF
NetID option and use your USF NetID to login.
What if I
forgot my USF NetID username or password?
Please visit:
https://my.usf.edu for help with your USF
NetID. The ARC Help Desk does not have access or information on how to update
your USF NetID information.
